Some important news has come out of recent court filings.
Roger Stone, who was a Senior Advisor on the Trump Campaign, was recently indicted for:
- Obstruction of Proceedings
- False Statements (6 counts)
- Witness Tampering
In a court filing in this case, Mueller reveals that when subpoenaing documents for Wikileaks and Guccifer 2.0, they encountered evidence that Roger Stone was communicating directly with Wikileaks and Guccifer 2.0 during the campaign.
Guccifer 2.0 is the Russian organization that was indicted for hacking the Democratic National Committee (DNC). It claimed to leak its documents to Wikileaks. It now looks like a coordinated effort involving Stone, Guccifer 2.0, and Wikileaks.
Court Filing Excerpts
So let's review key facts we know from public filings and public documents:
- Trump was negotiating the Trump Tower Moscow deal during the Campaign.
- Trump's Senior Campaign Advisor, Roger Stone, was in direct contact with the Russian hacker of the DNC emails and Wikileaks who leaked the DNC emails.
- Trump's Campaign Manager, Paul Manafort, and his Assistant, Rick Gates, met with Russian Agent Constantin Klimnik and gave him polling data.
- Trump publicly asked Russia to find Hillary's emails on national television. On that same day Russia started hacking her account.
- The very month Trump took office, he attempted to end Russian sanctions.
- His administration recently succeeded in softening sanctions on Russian Oligarch Deripaska to the favor of VTB Bank (Putin's Main Bank).
Mueller has collusion.
I think he is just tying up some pieces. His strategy is to write speaking indictments on false statements, because then he can prove the statements are false by sharing the truth, in court, in sealed or partially redacted documents and court transcripts. He is cementing the truth right in court. He is forcing the truth to be confirmed in each case.
The courts are the only safe place. He can't fully trust the Department of Justice, which is headed by Trump appointees, or Congress.
Mueller's report is the court documents. And at the end, the facts will all be unsealed and unredacted. Sure, he will do an official report when he is done, but he isn't leaving it to chance.
Mueller is freaking brilliant.

Ohh, I think there is a lot more. Many cases will branch out of this, and they may take years to fully unfold. But the heart of the investigation is close to an end. I think Mueller will connect all the dots in the main cases within the next six months, if not sooner. There is enough out there already that even the new Attorney General, William Barr, couldn't hide it if he wanted to. Neither he, nor Congress can control the courts.
Thank goodness our forefathers had the foresight to create three equal branches.
